If you have Comcast Xfinity Triple Play service package with voice, then you are forced to get a telephony eMTA voice modem irrespective if you want to use voice or not. These modems support both Voice and Internet function (without Wi-Fi). Currently only good option out in the market is CM500V which supports internet speeds up to 300 Mbps. This should work most people.
